In 2010, Felipe Paz embarked on his coffee odyssey amidst the lush emerald hills of Colombia. He immersed himself in the world of coffee, working alongside the country’s finest coffee producers. Felipe’s mission was to introduce the world to the rich flavors and aromatic wonders of Colombian coffee. His journey took him across continents, forging relationships with coffee connoisseurs in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States.

In 2020, Felipe Paz and his trusted friend, Santiago, returned to the United States, driven by a dream and a vision. Together, they opened a cozy coffee shop in the heart of Houston, naming it Mio Brew—a reflection of the profound personal connection they shared with coffee. Mio Brew will soon reemerge with a fresh identity as La Tazza Specialty Coffee.

At La Tazza, every coffee bean is meticulously chosen, roasted to perfection, and brewed with utmost care and affection. While our coffee pays homage to Colombia, we also aim to serve the most exquisite coffees from producers around the world.
